Melissa Mills is a choral conductor, composer, and music educator based in Utah, with a passion for helping singers of all ages discover confidence, artistry, and connection through music. She brings extensive experience in choral leadership, vocal pedagogy, and repertoire development, and is known for creating inclusive, inspiring environments where singers feel both challenged and supported. Melissa is the founder and artistic director of Utah Youth Singers and is deeply committed to nurturing young musicians through high-quality musical training and meaningful performance experiences.
In addition to her work with youth choirs, Melissa is an active composer, arranger, and editor of choral music, with a strong background in music theory and score analysis. Her work reflects a love of expressive text setting, thoughtful harmonic language, and music that serves both singers and audiences. Above all, Melissa believes that choral music can be a powerful force for growth, belonging, and joy—and she strives to build programs where musical excellence and human connection go hand in hand.
